I've always loved reading. I could even remember the first book I've read that doesn't have a size 20 font: Edith Hamilton's Mythology.
Why am I writing about this of all things? No special reason really, except I just finished reading 3 angst-filled and beautifully written fics. That I just have to proclaim my love for reading!
I'm just so in love with reading, that I think the reason I don't have an honest-to-god OTP is because deep down I don't want to have an OTP. I've fallen for Heero and Duo, Anakin and Obi-Wan, Harry and Draco and recently Sam and Dean. No judgments please. Yeah, Sam and Dean are brothers, and I would never in a million years did I imagine myself reading incestuous fics (since I’ve managed to avoid reading Fred/George or any Weasley incest fics), but the Supernatural fandom just have too much delicious angst canon or fandom wise that I just want to drown in it.
But reading is the reason I’m in a fandom in the first place. I love reading, being immersed in a story that time literally flies by. I love reading a beautifully written story, and the challenge everytime I finish. The challenge to look for another story that could pull me to it’s world completely.
Well, there goes my random rant. *goes back to reading*
Crossposted to my LJ, since I just had to post something in both blogs. Maybe I'll post this on my Multiply as well. :)
Just so I could post something new to this journal. Would probably post pics later LOL

[I'm Haru!] Which Avatar character are you?
First of all. Bela/Bella. The first minutes of the show I was so...
so.. frustrated with her. I desperately want to like her, since I'm
already enamored with Ruby. But the first few minutes How dare she do
that to the Impala, though, seeing Dean hyperventilate like that makes
up for that.
So Bela has a secret. And damaged according to Dean, since she would rather give 10 grand, than say thank you to the boys for saving her life.
This episode didn't do much for me in terms of the boys, they're still as adorable as ever, and the angst is still there. But with Bela, I find myself looking forward to her development, though I still don't like the idea of Bela (or Ruby, no matter how much I like her) ending up with the boys. I still can't wrap my mind around it.
I'm worried about the WGA strike, since it also affects Supernatural (and a few shows I'm watching).
Good news though, since SPN seems to have 11 episodes already written:
Supernatural: Have aired 5 episodes to date from their third season and word is they have 11 episodes completed and as many 5 scripts that are ready to film. We fully expect Supernatural to be able to show two months of new episodes during the strike.

Just got home from RoD (or Read or Die) Convention. And no it's not a convention about the anime, but a convention for people who love reading!
And I must say that I would definitely return next year.
The most awesome thing about the whole affair was that I managed procure for myself a handful of books. At less the price than what was sold in bookstores.
Here's the list of the books I bought yesterday and today *salivates*
1. Olivia Joules and the Overactive Imagination by Helen Fielding (finished reading this within 2 days *lol*)
2. Exile by Denise Mina
3. The Restaurant at the End of the Universe by Douglas Adams (part II of the Hitchiker's Guide Trilogy)
3. Lifem the Universe and Everything by Douglas Adams (part III of the Hitchiker's Guide Trilogy)
4. Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman (first time reading one of his works, graphic or otherwise)
5. The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon by Stephen King (got this instead of Salem's Lot >.<)
6. Point of Origin by Patricia Cornwell (to add to my collection!)
7. The Chronicles of Narnia by C. S. Lewis (all 7 books!)
8. Veronika Decides to Die by Paulo Coelho (share with my sister)
And now I would just have to find the time to read all of this, after I read Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell by Susanna Clarke (which is a whooping 1000+ pages!!) and of course not losing the time to read HD fics
*heads over to furiosity's LJ*
Probably would have to wear glasses after I finish this list >.<, still, *lies in biblio-bliss*
Do you ever get any warm feelings for your FL?
Me? I get it. All the time. Just feeling happy and content whenever my wishlist get shorter as time goes by.
And whenever I look how far along my FL has gone member-wise, makes me smile. just imagine from only 2 members for about a month and now you have around 200 members.
It must be love.
